A closer look at The Defender 110

The Land Rover Defender 110 is an icon in the world of off-road vehicles, it is known for its reliability and timeless design. The Defender 110 was first introduced in 1983 when it quickly became known for its adventure and durability. Its name come from it having a 110-inch wheelbase, this marked the beginning of a series that would re-define the off-road capability of a vehicle.

For the 2025 model year of Defender 110, it has been announced that there are changes that will add to the desirability of this car. The first one being that it has a 168kg dynamic roof load which allows for further adventures in what is already a mighty vehicle. Alongside this it offers an update to the hard top lineup and the new hard top pro pack for business buyers which makes it easier for them to configurate. Another key detail is the new D350 engine that replaces the D300 - this is the most powerful diesel engine ever offered for Defender.

So, what is being said about the 110…

“Reinventing an icon like the Land Rover Defender isn’t easy, and it's something Land Rover thought long and hard about before reviving the Defender name.

To try to keep existing Defender fans happy while attracting new SUV buyers, the British brand decided to leave no room for criticism. So this latest model is more practical, more refined and more capable off road than its illustrious predecessor.” What Car?

“It just makes you feel adventurous. And as an off-roader, a snowy-roader, a towing roader... it's immensely reassuring” – Top Gear
