Business Development Manager at Duckworth Motor Group

We sat down with our new Local Business Development Manager, Terry White to talk about Business Contract Hire. Terry has been in the automotive industry for over a decade and joined Duckworth Motor Group in November 2024.

How long have you been in this industry for?

“I've been immersed in the automotive industry, specifically Jaguar Land Rover, for the last decade. Initially, I thrived as a Business Manager on the Diplomatic and Military Programme, a role that honed my skills in catering to high-end, demanding clientele. For the past two years, I've been a Local Business Development Manager, focusing on building strong relationships with local businesses and finding tailored solutions to suit them.”

What is your favourite part of the job?

“My favourite part of the job is undoubtedly getting to know local businesses, and the great local community of people behind them, so I can understand their unique needs. I find immense satisfaction in creating customised solutions that not only meet but exceed their expectations. Additionally, my passion for the Jaguar Land Rover product line fuels my enthusiasm, as I genuinely love the blend of modern luxury and cutting-edge technology that our vehicles offer. There's something uniquely thrilling about connecting clients with cars that embody innovation and elegance, whilst still making good business sense.”

- All Rentals and excess mileage rates are exclusive of VAT. VAT is payable at 20%. Subject to vehicle availability, credit approval, manufacturer price changes and purchases through the Jaguar Contract Hire supplier network. In the event of cancellation of an order, you will be liable for such costs to be confirmed to you in writing.

- The payment terms are 1 payment of £4,641.60 (ex VAT) in advance followed by 47 monthly payments of £386.80 (ex VAT) commencing in month 2 payable by Direct Debit.

- The CO2 values, BIK, Taxable List Price, vehicle specification and options are all current at the time the quotation is produced and are subject to change. The BIK value includes any applicable surcharge for diesel vehicles.

- The Manufacturer may increase the List Price of the vehicle before it is delivered. If this price increase subjects the vehicle to an increased Road Fund Licence (RFL) fee, over that built into your original Quote, you will be required to pay the difference in cost, from the second year of your lease onwards. The amount of this additional charge will depend on the vehicle’s fuel type.

- MPG and CO2 values reflect manufacturer published data and may vary to those actually achieved during normal use.
